2 terrorists killed in SW Pakistan security operation

Islamabad, Apr 28 (UNI) Two terrorists were killed during a security operation in Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) said on Monday.
The operation was conducted in Derakshan area of the provincial capital Quetta, a CTD official told Xinhua.
An exchange of gunfire took place during the operation, in which one terrorist was shot dead by security forces, while the other detonated an explosive device, killing himself, the official said.
Following the encounter, CTD personnel recovered a suicide vest and a large cache of weapons from the scene.
The official said the terrorists were planning major attacks in the province, but swift and timely action by CTD forces foiled their plot.
Security has been tightened in the area, and further investigation is underway, according to the CTD. UNI XINHUA AKT SSP
