About 36 lakh students return to schools in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Jun 2 (UNI) About 36 lakh students returned to their schools after a break of two months in Kerala on Monday.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the state-level school reopening celebrations at the Kalavoor Government Higher Secondary School at Kalavoor in Alappuzha District.
All educational institutions including government, aided, and unaided sectors reopened as classes began for students from class 1 to 10 for the academic year 2025-36.
"The new academic year begins today with joyful "Pravesanolsavams" (reopening of schools) in our public schools. Children were warmly welcomed, and all learning materials and facilities are in place. Wishing every student a happy and successful school year. Let’s move forward with renewed commitment to strengthen and transform public education," the Chief Minister said.
