"The released woman is currently with Qatari friends in Kabul and she will soon be shifted to her home," Tolonews quoted former US ambassador and special envoy for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad as saying on his X account.
This is the second American citizen released by the Afghan administration over the past 10 days.
