Another Ordnance Factory employee arrested for passing info to Pakistani agent

Lucknow, Mar 19 (UNI) An employee of Ordnance Factory has been arrested by the Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) of Uttar Pradesh from Kanpur here in Uttar Pradesh for passing confidential, important and sensitive information and documents to a Pakistani agent, an official spokesman said here on Wednesday.
The spokesman said that Ravindra Kumar, posted at Ordnance Factory, Hazratpur, in Firozabad district was arrested by the ATS on March 13. "Ravindra used to share confidential, important and sensitive information of the factory by conspiring with so-called Pakistani agent Neha Sharma ((pseudonym)," he said.
He said that during investigation the ATS received intelligence Kumar Vikas, working at Ordnance Factory in Kanpur, was also connected with Neha Sharma, and was providing confidential information and documents through WhatsApp. "During investigation and questioning of the accused it was revealed that Vikas, posted as junior works manager, came into contact with Pakistani agent Neha Sharma through WhatsApp in January," he said.
The spokesman said that Pakistani agent Neha Sharma shared the mobile numbers by claiming to be working in Bharat Heavy Electronic Limited (BHEL). "Accused Kumar Vikas used the Ludo App for secret conversation with Pakistani agent Neha Sharma," he said.
He said that for the lure of money Vikas sent photos of documents, equipment, ammunition manufactured in the Ordnance Factory, attendance sheet of the employees, machines in the factory, production related chart and other confidential information to the Pakistani agent.
The spokesman said that as a part of the criminal conspiracy Vikas shared the information, whose use may adversely affect the unity, integrity and tranquillity and may create unrest in the country with Pakistani agent Neha Sharma. "Keeping this in view, a case under the relevant section of the BNS and Official Secrets Act has been registered in ATS police station in Lucknow, the accused is being arrested from the spot and further action is being taken," he said.
