Arms smuggler nabbed in Manipur

Imphal, May 2 (UNI) Manipur Police in various operations on Friday nabbed two persons and recovered arms in three separate incidents.
Manipur Police detained a person from the Jama Masjid area under Lilong-PS, Thoubal District, along with a vehicle which was stolen from a place earlier in Thangmeiband, Imphal West , police said.
In another incident, Manipur Police arrested an alleged illegal arm smuggler from Chingmeirong , Imphal West, along with one 9 mm Pistol with a magazine loaded with ten rounds. An operation was launched at Phayeng Makha Leikai under Lamsang-PS, Imphal West District, and two improvised rockets, an improvised mortar pompi, ammunitions and documents were seized.
