Arunachal Guv, CM discuss state's security, development issues, and digital governance

Itanagar, May 9 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu called on the State Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik at the Raj Bhavan here on Friday.
The two leaders discussed key security and developmental challenges and opportunities, and shared their commitment to work collaboratively for a secure, prosperous, and digitally empowered Arunachal Pradesh, a communiqué from the Raj Bhavan said.
Welcoming the recent approval of the Vibrant Villages Programme along the Indo-Myanmar border, the Governor expressed deep appreciation to the Union Government for prioritizing remote frontier areas. He expressed that the programme would significantly boost infrastructure, economic activity, and the quality of life for border residents.
The Governor and Chief Minister also reviewed the State’s digital governance initiatives. The Governor stressed the importance of integrating all government schemes and services into a unified digital ecosystem to enhance transparency, efficiency, and accountability.
He also emphasised digitizing official records and Raj Bhavan initiatives to ensure better institutional continuity and good governance.
Both leaders also held extensive discussions focused on empowering the state’s youth through skill development, with an emphasis on entrepreneurship and self-employment.
They also agreed on the need to promote tourism and adventure activities to harness Arunachal Pradesh’s natural beauty and drive economic growth, the communique added.
