Hyderabad, Apr 8 (UNI) Anti-Terrorism Forum (ATF) Chairman Dr Ravinuthala Shashidhar welcomed Telangana High Court verdict upholding the death sentence awarded by the NIA court to five accused in the 2013 Dilsukhnagar twin bomb blasts case.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Dr Shashidhar said the death penalty is the rightful punishment for the Indian Mujahideen terrorists who waged war against the nation and killed innocent civilians. "These terrorists have no right to live on earth," he asserted. He further demanded that Riyaz Bhatkal, the mastermind behind 29 bomb blasts across India including Dilsukhnagar, be extradited from Pakistan and hanged.
Dr Shashidhar called for a full investigation into organisations such as Jamaat-e-Ulema Hind, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, and other local entities and individuals who allegedly provided legal aid to the accused terrorists.
