Bandi Sanjay slams Reddy, calls Telangana governance ‘Rubber Stamp Rule’

Karimnagar (Telangana), Apr 6 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Home Affairs and senior BJP leader Bandi Sanjay Kumar launched a scathing attack on the Congress government in Telangana, accusing Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of acting as a mere "rubber stamp" of the Congress high command.
Speaking at BJP’s Foundation Day celebrations in Karimnagar on Sunday, Bandi Sanjay questioned the role of AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, alleging that she was reviewing ministerial matters directly from the Secretariat. “It is the CM’s prerogative to decide on his cabinet. What is the AICC doing, announcing cabinet decisions? Isn’t this proof of how Telangana is being ruled from Janpath and Gandhi Bhavan?” he asked.
Bandi Sanjay unfurled the BJP flag at his residence and later at the district party office, accompanied by district president Gangadi Krishna Reddy, former mayor Sunil Rao, and other leaders.
Extending greetings on BJP’s foundation day, he highlighted the party's journey of 45 years, saying, “BJP rose to power through the sacrifices of thousands of activists and unwavering ideological commitment.”
He noted BJP’s growth to 18 crore members by 2019, governing in 16 states independently and in alliance in 6 more. Recalling achievements under Vajpayee and Modi, he credited the party with nuclear tests, expansion of national highways, and transformative welfare schemes.
Targeting the Telangana Congress government, he claimed that central schemes are being under-implemented in the state. “It is Modi’s government that spends Rs 37 per kilo for ration rice while the state contributes just Rs 10. Why not display the PM’s photo at ration shops then?” he questioned, urging BJP workers to educate villagers about the Centre’s contributions.
On the Hyderabad MLC elections, Sanjay alleged a secret pact between the Congress, BRS, and AIMIM. “Congress and BRS are competing to hand Hyderabad over to Majlis. This election is a fight between a patriotic party and an anti-national party,” he said. He expressed confidence in BJP candidate Gautam Rao’s victory and accused both Congress and BRS of colluding against the BJP in various forums, including voting together against the Waqf Board Amendment Bill.
“The time has come to end this corrupt Congress regime,” he asserted, urging voters to back the BJP for clean and strong governance in Telangana.
