Bihar Foundation Day observed in Kerala Raj Bhavan

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 25 (UNI) Bihar Diwas was celebrated as part of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative at Kerala Raj Bhavan on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar stressed the unity of the Country amidst its apparent diversity.
In 2015, coinciding with the 140th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Prime Minister had exhorted the States to observe the foundation day of sister states of the Country.
Through the innovative measure, the knowledge of the culture, traditions and practices of different States & UTs will lead to an enhanced understanding and bonding between the States, thereby strengthening the unity and integrity of India.
Addressing the gathering through video conferencing, Governor of Bihar Arif Mohammed Khan expressed gratitude to Kerala Raj Bhavan for having organized the event.
The Governor interacted with the Officers and family members of Bihar and other cultural programmes formed part of the event. The function was presided over by R.K. Madhu, Deputy Secretary and S. Subramanian IIS, Public Relations Officer, welcomed the gathering.
