BJP raising issues like Sambhal, and Aurangzeb to hide its failures: Akhilesh

BJP raising issues like Sambhal, and Aurangzeb to hide its failures: Akhilesh

Lucknow, Mar 18 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav has said that law and order is zero in the state under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government as murder, loot and crime are at their peak.

Speaking to the media after Roza Iftar in the capital Lucknow, Akhilesh said, "The courage of bullies, anarchists, and criminals has increased under the protection of the government. Police was chased and thrashed in Shahjahanpur. DSP's house and car were burnt in Bareilly. A youth was killed in Unnao. Jail officials are accusing their own officer. They are complaining against him but no hearing has taken place, on the contrary action has been taken against the complainant."

He said that the BJP government is making the police do the wrong things. "It is making injustice happen. BJP has looted booths through the police in the by-elections. It is getting false cases registered against the leaders of opposition parties, harassing them. BJP is misusing the police for its political gain," he claimed.

The SP chief said that along with the law and order situation in the state, health and education services are also in shambles. "Patients are not getting medicines and treatment. Hospitals and medical colleges do not have an adequate staff of doctors, nurses, and other paramedical staff. The BJP government raises issues like Sambhal and Aurangzeb to hide its failures," he said.

He said that the policies of the BJP government have failed. "Inflation, unemployment, and corruption are at their peak. Demonetisation has not reduced corruption. Corruption has increased further. Traders and businesses are getting ruined due to faulty GST. Inflation is increasing. Consumers are being fleeced. To divert attention from issues related to the public, the BJP is spreading hatred in the society," he alleged.
