Cambodian Senate president embarks on two-day visit to Laos

Phnom Penh, Feb 6 (UNI) Cambodian Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen left here on Thursday for a two-day official visit to neighboring Laos at the invitation of Lao National Assembly President Saysomphone Phomvihane.
A press release from the Senate said that in Vientiane, Hun Sen, who is also president of the ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP), will hold separate bilateral talks with Saysomphone and Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone.
Also, he and Thongloun Sisoulith, Lao president and general secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP), will co-chair the 15th CPP-LPRP Summit, the press release said.
The visit "will inject fresh impetus into the comprehensive and long-term strategic partnership between Cambodia and Laos," the press release added.
Hun Sen's entourage included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn and other senior members of the Senate and the CPP.
