Central Railway's Pune Division celebrates World Heritage Day

Pune, Apr 18 ( UNI) Pune Division, Central Railway, celebrated World Heritage Day on Friday with multiple activities aimed at spreading awareness about India’s rich rail heritage among staff and the general public.
On this occasion, the Mechanical (C&W) Department organised a heritage awareness rally from the Station Manager’s Office at Pune Railway Station to the historic narrow gauge steam locomotive "Anuradha" situated at the DRM Office, Pune.
The rally was flagged off by the Station Superintendent, Pune, in the presence of officers and staff including Divisional Commercial Manager, Assistant Commercial Manager, ADEME (DEMU), Station Manager, CHI, CCI, SSE (EnHM), cleaning staff, technicians, and porters, said a media release.
A Quiz Competition on Railway Heritage was also organised for cleaning staff of Pune Station, DRM Office, Tadiwala Road colony, and BTC trainees at GICC, Pune. Winners will be felicitated by DRM and ADRM in a special function. UNI SP SSP
