CM face of Bihar Grand Alliance was clear in the last meeting itself: Tejaswi

Patna, Apr 24 (UNI) Giving ample indications of his status, RJD leader Tejaswi Prasad Yadav on Thursday said the Chief Minister face of the Grand Alliance (GA) for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections was clear in the last meeting of the coalition itself.
The former state Deputy Chief Minister was addressing the media after a meeting of the GA constituents at the state Congress headquarters Sadaquat Ashream here.
It may be recalled that Yadav was made president of the coordination committee of the GA during the previous meeting of the alliance on April 17.
He told news persons here that the GA has decided to constitute some more committees.
The GA meeting was attended by Yadav, Congress state in-charge Krishna Allavaru and state president Rajesh Ram, VIP chief Mukesh Sahni and leaders of the three Left parties CPI, CPM and CPI ML.
When the media persons insisted on a more categorical reply from Yadav on the GA CM face issue, he said there was no scope for a questions on the matter as the CM face of GA would be revealed at an appropriate time.
In a satirical vein Yadav said that this question must be asked from the NDA because Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is CM face of the NDA only till the elections whereas in the GA the name decided before elections would continue even after the polls.
As it is RJD, the major constituent unit of the GA, has already declared Yadav as CM face. However, the Congress was yet to officially agree to it. Allavaru on several occasions has been found avoiding the issue.
Meanwhile, Yadav said a joint meeting has been convinced of the district presidents, MPs, MLAs and MLCs of the constituent units of the GA on May 4.
Giving details of the agenda decided during the meeting Yadav said that the entire opposition parties and the nation was united on the issue of the Pahalgam terrorist attack and wish to give a befitting reply to those terrorists.
He, however, asked the union government to disclose how such a major attack happened.
Yadav said the Pahalgam attack has raised questions on the intelligence system. "How did the terrorists cross the border, entere Kashmir and kill civilians?" he asked.
He also raised questions on the Nitish government of Bihar saying that after the Pahalgam attack, the state government did not take any steps to safely bring back the people of the state from Jammu and Kashmir.
He said GA will take out a candllighte march in Patna on Friday to pay tribute to the civilians who died in the terror attack. UNI RS SSP
