Congress making false promises in greed for power: Shrawan

Patna, May 21 (UNI) Bihar Rural Development Minister and senior leader of Janata Dal United (JDU) Shrawan Kumar alleged that Congress did not care for the women of Bihar and the country for decades, and was now making false promises in greed for power in the election year.
Talking to reporters here on Wednesday, Kumar said the women of Bihar were now aware and conscious and knew clearly who cared about their future and who was only doing vote bank politics.
Without taking the name of RJD, a major alliance partner of the Grand Alliance, he alleged that those getting the land and houses of the poor registered in their name in exchange for jobs can never be well-wishers of the public.
Outlining the initiatives of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for women's empowerment, he said that the efforts of Kumar were historic and revolutionary regarding the education, security, and self-reliance of women.
Meanwhile, Building Construction Minister Jayant Raj said the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) under the leadership of Kumar was moving ahead with full strength to attain the target of '225 in the 2025 election.
Making scathing remarks against the RJD, he said that giving baseless statements has been an old political trend of the RJD.
Education Minister Sunil Kumar said that the Nitish government is fully committed to the all-around development of children.
He said that more than Rs 145 crore has been sanctioned for the uniform Scheme (Classes 1 to 8) and more than Rs 169 crore for the students of Classes 9 to 12.
He informed that an amount of Rs 300 crore for (Intermediate) Incentive Scheme and Rs 50 crore for Bicycle Scheme would soon be released.
