Congress slams Nitish government for rape and death of Dalit minor girl

Patna, June 02 (UNI) Congress on Monday slammed Nitish Kumar government for rape and death of a minor Dalit girl in Kurhni of Muzaffarpur district and took out a protest march to voice its anger over the incident.
Congress took out protest march named as " Halla Bol " to voice its anger over the incident of rape of a minor Dalit girl who was also attacked by the culprits with sharp edged weapon causing serious injuries on 20 spots of her body at Kurhni in Muzaffarpur on May 26. She was being treated in a local hospital and shifted to Patna on the intervention of Congress leaders, but was left uncared for in an ambulance on the premises of Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) for hours. She was finally admitted to PMCH, but delay and negligence in treatment led to her death on Saturday morning.
National President of the youth wing of Congress, Uday Bhanu Chib, while speaking on the occasion, said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar never failed to claim that he had provided good governance to the people of the state. What was going on in so-called good governance of Kumar was for all to see, he said, making a clear reference to lawlessness in the state.
