CSK bowl first, Overton and Shankar in Playing XI

Guwahati, Mar 30 (UNI) Chennai Super Kings won the toss and opted to field against Rajasthan Royals in the 11th match of the IPL 2025 at Barsapara Cricket Stadium here on Sunday.

Jamie Overton has been included in the CSK lineup, replacing Sam Curran, while Vijay Shankar comes in for Deepak Hooda.

"We will bowl first. Looks a good wicket, better than the last game that was played here so we'll look to chase. So far so good, it was a quick turnaround, very little time for us but that's how the IPL is. We have to be ready. We have come here for the first time as a franchise, good to see all the love we've got," said CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad at the toss.

Riyan Parag, leading Rajasthan Royals, stated that he would have also opted to field had he won the toss. Expressing his sentiments on playing at his home ground, Parag said, "My hometown, been brought up here and played a lot of cricket here, surreal feeling to play in front of all these people."

Parag emphasised the need for a collective performance, saying, "We've done well in small bits, it's about coming together and putting up a collective performance." Rajasthan Royals have fielded an unchanged playing XI for the encounter.
