Delhi court to pass order on bail plea of J&K MP Engineer Rashid on Mar 21

New Delhi, Mar 19 (UNI) A Delhi Court will pass the order on Friday on the bail plea of Jammu and Kashmir MP Engineer Rashid, arrested in a terror funding case.

Additional Sessions Judge Chander Jit Singh on Wednesday said he will pronounce the order on the bail application of Rashid on March 21.

Engineer Rashid @ Sheikh Abdul Rashid, defeated Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in the 2024 Lok Sabha election from Baramulla.

He was arrested by the NIA under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in 2017 terror funding case and lodged in Tihar Jail.

The NIA after investigation filed a chargesheet against several persons, including Kashmiri Separatist Leader Yasin Malik, Lashkar-e-Taiba founder Hafiz Saeed and Hizbul Mujahideen Chief Syed Salahuddin in the court.
