Drug Peddler held by STF of Odisha Crime Branch, 335 gms Brown Sugar seized

Bhubaneswar, May 21 (UNI) A team from the Special Task Force (STF) of the Odisha Crime Branch on Wednesday arrested a drug peddler and recovered 335 grams of brown sugar (heroin) along with other incriminating materials from his possession.
According to STF sources, the accused, Prakash Sethi of Turumunga village in Keonjhar district, was apprehended during a search operation conducted near the Hi-Tech–Bankual Road under the jurisdiction of Badagada Police Station in Bhubaneswar.
During the search, contraband brown sugar (heroin) weighing 335 grams and other incriminating items were seized from his possession. The accused failed to produce any valid authorization for possessing such contraband materials. As a result, he was arrested and will be presented before the Court of the District Judge-cum-Special Judge, Khordha, in Bhubaneswar.
The STF has registered a case under Section 21(c) of the NDPS Act, 1985, and the investigation is ongoing.
