Electricity employees take out rally against privatisation

Lucknow, Apr 9 (UNI) Power employees demonstrated their unity against privatisation through a massive rally in the state capital, Lucknow, on Wednesday.
Thousands of electricity employees gathered at the Hydel Field Hostel in the form of a rally at 12:30 pm. They returned to the Field Hostel via Dainik Jagran Square, Sikandarbagh Square, Ashok Marg, Indira Bhawan, Jawahar Bhawan, Shakti Bhawan and Mirabai Marg, where, in a huge meeting, the employee leaders unanimously decided to protest against privatisation.
Electricity Employees United Sangharsh Samiti announced a decisive movement against the privatisation of Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam and Dakshinchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam. After the rally, a resolution was passed in the general meeting, and a decision was taken to boycott the work indefinitely from May 29.
