New Delhi, May 10 (UNI) Dreaded Pakistan-based terrorists, including Mudassar Khadian Khas alias Abu Jundal of outlawed Lashkar-e-Taiba and Mohammad Yusuf Azhar of Jaish-e-Mohammed were among the top terror operators along with several other terrorists who were killed during Operation Sindoor on May 7.
This operation was conducted with precision and hunted down top terrorists, who were involved in various acts of terror in India.
There was specific information that they were sheltered in nine hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
It was a big success for India to eliminate the top hierarchy of various notorious terror groups who were given shelter in the neighbouring country.
JeM chief Masood Azhar’s 10 family members, including his sister and brother-in-law, were killed in the air strikes at the Bahawalpur terror sanctuary.
According to sources, among the terrorists killed was Mudassar Khadian Khas alias Mudassar alias Abu Jundal of the notorious terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba. He was in-charge of Markaz Taiba, Muridke and had good influence in the Pakistani government. A guard of honour was given by the Pakistan Army at his funeral.
Wreaths were laid on his funeral casket by the Pakistan Army Chief and by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. His funeral prayer was held in a government school, led by Hafiz Abdul Rauf of JuD (a designated global terrorist).
A serving Lt. General of the Pakistani Army and the IG of Punjab Police attended the prayer ceremony.
Jaish-e-Mohammed's notorious terrorist Hafiz Muhammad Jameel was also been killed in the Indian armed forces operation. He was the eldest brother-in-law of Maulana Masood Azhar and in-charge of Markaz Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur. He was actively involved in radicalising youth and raising funds for Jaish-e-Mohammed.
The third big terrorist killed was Mohammad Yusuf Azhar alias Ustad ji alias Mohammad Salim alias Ghosi Sahab of Jaish-e-Mohammed. He was also the brother-in-law of Maulana Masood Azhar and looked after weapons training for JeM. He was involved in multiple terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. This terrorist was also wanted in the Kandahar plane hijacking case.
The fourth terrorist killed was Khalid alias Abu Akasha of LeT, who was involved in several terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. He was involved in smuggling weapons from Afghanistan. His funeral was held in Faisalabad. Senior officials of the Pakistani army and the Deputy Commissioner of Faisalabad attended it.
The fifth terrorist was Mohammad Hassan Khan of Jaish-e-Mohammed. He was the son of Mufti Asghar Khan Kashmiri who was the operational commander of JeM in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). He played a key role in coordinating terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.
