Foreign scholarship scheme application deadline extended to June 6: Maha Minister

Mumbai, May 23 (UNI) The last date for submitting applications under the Foreign Education Scholarship Scheme for students belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Nomadic Tribes (SC/NT), Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Special Backward Classes (SBC) in Maharashtra has been extended to June 6, according to State Other Backward Classes Welfare Minister Atul Save.
The deadline earlier was May 17, 2025.
Save said on Thursday more students can now apply for the scheme.

Rs 50 lakh assistance distributed to families of six citizens of Maharashtra killed in Pahalgam attack: Minister

Mumbai, May 31 (UNI) Six citizens of Maharashtra died in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. State Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Makarand Patil on Saturday informed that financial assistance of Rs 50 lakh each has been distributed to the families of the six citizens who were killed in the April 22 attack.
