Himachal Dy CM visits families of soldiers injured in Operation Sindoor

Una, May 13 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri on Tuesday met the families of two brave soldiers - both sons of Haroli constituency - who were injured during the Operation Sindoor executed by the Indian armed forces targeting terrorists in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.
Sub Inspector Vyas Dev of the BSF, a resident of Bathu village, and Sikh Regiment soldier Gurnam Singh alias 'Romi' of Chhetra village, were among the injured soldiers currently undergoing treatment at the Army Hospital in Jammu.

The Deputy Chief Minister personally visited their families to express the state’s gratitude for their sacrifices.
At Bathu, Agnihotri met the family of Sub Inspector Vyas Dev, who sustained serious injuries in a drone attack and lost a leg during the operation.

Interacting with his wife Paramjit Kaur, he praised Dev’s extraordinary bravery and said the entire nation stands proud of his unwavering spirit. “Despite his injuries, Vyas Dev’s courage and commitment towards national security is unparalleled,” he said.
Later, at Chhetra village, Agnihotri met the parents and wife of injured soldier Gurnam Singh. Addressing his father Joginder Singh, mother Jagmohan Kaur, and wife Gurpreet Kaur, the Deputy CM saluted the courage of the Sikh Regiment soldier. “The dedication and patriotism of heroes like Gurnam Singh is the true strength of our country, and Himachal Pradesh will always honour such valiant sons,” he said.
He offered prayers for the speedy recovery of both soldiers and assured that the state government would provide all necessary assistance to their families. He also conveyed that the sacrifices of soldiers in defending the borders would never be forgotten.
Senior Congress leaders Ranjeet Rana, Ashok Thakur, Satish Bittu, Vinod Bittu, Pawan Thakur, and Bathu Gram Panchayat Pradhan Surekha Rana were also present during the visits. UNI ML SSP
