Hyd: AINEF condemns Delhi police action against women journalist

Hyderabad, Mar 25 (UNI) The All India Newspaper Employees Federation [AINEF] on Tuesday condemned the Delhi Police action in which a woman journalist's camera was forcibly taken away by a cop and another woman journalist faced misbehaviour from the lawkeepers in the national capital.
In a statement, AINEF Senior Vice President Chaladi Purnachandra Rao said it is not a good practice for the police, who are supposed to protect journalists on duty, to commit such atrocities, let alone treat women journalists in this way.

In protest against this, Purnachandra Rao said the organisation is extending its support for the journalists and photo journalists who are protesting in front of the Police Headquarters in New Delhi today.
He urged high-ranking police officials to take appropriate action against those responsible for this and protect press freedom. UNI KNR SSP
