Hyderabad: ACB caught Shamirpet SI for accepting Rs 22,000 bribe

Hyderabad, Apr 29 (UNI) Anti-Corruption Bureau officials caught M.Parushuram, Sub-Inspector (SI) attached to Shamirpet Police station under Cyberabad Commissionerate when he demanded and accepted a brine of Rs 22,000 from the complainant.

The SI demanded the bribe from the complainant for showing official favour – “to exclude the complainant and his worker, from the cheating case registered by the shamirpet police station and to return the complainant’s cell phone”.

The accused officer had already accepted Rs 2 lakh as bribe from the complainant, ACB said in a release here on Tuesday.

The SI was arrested and produced before the Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases court at Nampally here.

The case is under investigation.
