New Delhi, Jan 17 (UNI) In a scintillating performance, the India men's kho-kho team delivered a near-perfect display of skill and strategy to secure a comfortable 100-40 victory over Sri Lanka, booking their place in the semifinals of the 2025 Kho-Kho World Cup here on Friday.
India set the tone from the very first turn, scoring a formidable 58 points and preventing Sri Lankan from registering a single point via Dream Runs. The likes of Ramji Kashyap, Pratik Waikar, and Aditya Ganpule spearheaded the effort, ensuring a commanding start to the game.
Sri Lanka fought back hard in Turn 2, with Aniket Pote leading their charge, but India kept them in check with relentless defense and timely attacks. Although the Sri Lankan attackers created some pressure, they were unable to close the gap as India had already built a substantial lead.
