Melbourne, Mar 30 (UNI) Team India is set to embark on an extensive white-ball tour of Australia later this year, featuring a total of eight matches across eight cities, as both teams prepare for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, scheduled to be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka in early 2026.

Cricket Australia (CA) announced the complete schedule for the 2025-26 international season, which includes the much-anticipated series against India.

The tour will consist of three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and five Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), beginning on October 19 and concluding on November 8.

Notably, the T20I series will see international cricket return to venues such as Canberra and Hobart.

The ODIs will be played in Perth, Adelaide and Sydney, while the T20Is will take place in Canberra, Melbourne, Hobart, Gold Coast and Brisbane.

The ODI series will commence on October 19 in Perth, followed by matches in Adelaide on October 23 and Sydney on October 25. The T20I leg will begin on October 29 in Canberra, with subsequent fixtures in Melbourne (October 31), Hobart (November 2), Gold Coast (November 6), and Brisbane (November 8).

The upcoming series follows India’s fiercely contested five-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia earlier in the year, which drew record-breaking attendance and viewership.

CA Chief Executive Todd Greenberg expressed confidence that the upcoming season would continue to drive interest in the sport.

"We smashed many records for attendance, viewing audiences, and digital engagement last summer, and we are confident that this incredible momentum will continue," he said.

Meanwhile, Cricket Australia has also confirmed South Africa’s limited-overs tour of the northern regions, marking the return of international cricket to Darwin for the first time in 17 years.

Australia’s busy schedule for 2025-26 includes the high-profile Ashes series against England, which will commence just weeks after the India series, ensuring a packed and competitive summer for Australian cricket fans.
