Iran's IRGC unveils underground naval drone base

Tehran, May 9 (UNI) Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on Thursday unveiled an underground drone base belonging to its Navy, Iran's IRIB news agency reported.
The drone base was unveiled during a tour of the facility by IRGC's Chief Commander Hossein Salami, according to footage released by the IRIB.
The narrator in the footage said the base was just one of the dozens of the IRGC Navy's underground drone bases, accommodating unmanned aerial vehicles capable of taking off and landing on clay runways.
According to the footage, all the IRGC Navy's drones were equipped with powerful electronic warfare systems.
In remarks to IRIB on the sidelines of the tour, Salami said the Navy had been formed to battle transregional powers, adding the force's structure and military equipment, including anti-ship ballistic and cruise missiles with pinpoint accuracy, enabled it to successfully manage a lengthy full war.
He added what was displayed in the footage of the base, was solely a small part of the IRGC Navy's drone capabilities, stressing that the IRGC was demonstrating its power to prevent the "enemies" from making "miscalculations."
The IRIB also displayed footage recorded by the IRGC Navy's Mohajer 6 drone as it was monitoring USS Dwight D. Eisenhower aircraft carrier while it was sailing in the Persian Gulf.
The IRIB's narrator said that the drone is made of carbon and equipped with advanced electronic warfare systems, which make it difficult to be detected by warships' radars.
Over the past few months, the IRGC has unveiled several underground missile bases and a subterranean naval base.
