Issue of Iranian nuclear program must be solved only through diplomacy - Kremlin

Tehran, Apr 19 (UNI) Russia welcomes the talks between Iran and the United States on the issue of the Iranian nuclear program and remains committed to the position that the solution of the issue must be reached only through diplomacy, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Saturday.
Earlier in the day, the NourNews agency reported that the second round of indirect talks between Iran and the US had begun in Rome with the mediation of Oman.
"We welcome the beginning of the indirect talks between Tehran and Washington ... We support continuing the negotiations process, based on the principles of respect for the interests of both sides and mutual respect. We believe that all the issues, related to the Iranian nuclear program and the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, must be solved through diplomacy. Russia considers peaceful regulation of the issue of the Iranian nuclear program one of its priorities and is ready to do everything possible for comprehensive assistance to the negotiations process," Peskov was quoted as saying by the IRNA news agency.
