KIMS becomes first in India to launch remote surgical training with Medtronic

Hyderabad, Apr 14 (UNI) KIMS Group of Hospitals has become the first in India to implement a cutting-edge remote surgical training solution, following a strategic partnership with global healthcare technology leader Medtronic.
Through this collaboration, over 100 surgeons across KIMS hospitals in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra will receive advanced training in specialties such as General Surgery, Oncology, Urology-Gynaecology, and Endoscopy. The initiative will also extend to upcoming KIMS facilities in Thane, Mumbai, and Bangalore, a hospital statement said on Monday.
The training program will combine real-time interactive sessions, hands-on experience, and observership, leveraging remote technology to enable seamless collaboration between trainees and surgical experts, regardless of location.
“This initiative addresses India’s urgent need for skilled clinicians,” said Mandeep Singh Kumar, MD & VP, Medtronic India. Dr Bhaskar Rao Bollineni, Founder & Chairman of KIMS, added, “We aim to empower young surgeons with global best practices through technology-driven learning.”
This landmark initiative is set to strengthen clinical capabilities and enhance access to high-quality surgical care across India.
