KKR begins training camp at Eden Gardens with pooja ceremony

Kolkata, Mar 12 (UNI) Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) commenced their pre-tournament camp at the iconic Eden Gardens on Wednesday with a pooja ceremony, marking the beginning of preparations for the upcoming TATA IPL 2025 season.
KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane and pitch curator Sujan Mukherjee performed the rituals, seeking divine blessings for a successful campaign.
Head coach Chandrakant Pandit, along with the coaching staff and players, attended the ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, Pandit highlighted that the training sessions have been meticulously planned, although some international players are yet to join the squad due to their commitments in the ongoing Champions Trophy. Expressing excitement about returning to Eden Gardens after a triumphant last season, he stated that the team remains highly motivated to maintain their winning momentum.
Eden Gardens, one of cricket’s most historic venues with a seating capacity of over 68,000, is set to host all KKR home matches in the forthcoming season.
KKR, the defending champions, will kick off their TATA IPL 2025 campaign against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at home on March 22. UNI BDN SSP
