Launch CM Suposhan Yojana for nourished UP: Yogi

Lucknow, May 3 (UNI) In a major step towards building a well-nourished Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday directed the launch of the Mukhyamantri Suposhan Yojana along with the setting up of Take Home Ration (THR) units in every district of the state.
During a meeting with the Department of Child Development and Nutrition on Saturday, the CM reviewed its work and emphasised the need for effective implementation of welfare schemes.
While discussing the new nutrition scheme, he said that although the Sambhav Abhiyan has led to some improvement in addressing Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM), continuous nutritional support is still essential. "The new plan aims to provide a nutritious morning meal to all registered children aged 3 to 6 years. It will be a major support for poor families identified under the state's Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Zero Poverty Mission. The scheme will also benefit aspirational districts and development blocks," he said.
