New Delhi, Apr 1 (UNI) The Lok Sabha was adjourned till 2 pm on Tuesday after members of the Samajwadi Party created ruckus in the House.
As soon as the Speaker Om Birla called for the Zero Hour, Samajwadi Party members entered the well of the House with placards in their hands and raised slogans.
The Speaker told the agitating members, "If you come with placards in the House, the House will not function. You put the placards down; otherwise the House will not function."
He asked Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav to tell his members to put the placards down and go back to their seats.
Despite the speaker's warning, the opposition members continued raising slogans and creating ruckus.
Amid the chaos, the chair again asked the agitating members whether they want to have the Zero Hour.
Birla said, "I again request the Hon'ble members to go back to their seats; Zero Hour is an important part of the House. I have said that I will allow Akhilesh ji to speak. I will allow members to raise their issue during the Zero Hour. You don't want to run the House?"
He said that if members want to raise slogans, they can go out of the House and raise slogans there.
When the agitating members did not pay heed to his request, the Speaker adjourned the House till 2 pm.
