Maha: Dr Asha Goel family urges CM for justice

Mumbai, Mar 17 (UNI) The family of late Dr Asha Goel on Monday wrote a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis seeking his intervention to the long-delayed trial.
Dr Asha Goel, an obstetrician and gynaecologist, was brutally killed on August 22, 2003, while visiting Mumbai.

Her daughter, Rashmi Goel, has written an urgent letter to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, seeking his intervention to the long-delayed trial, said a release here.
For 21 years, the Goel family has fought for justice, but despite compelling evidence—including DNA matches, forensic reports and even a confession—the case remains unresolved.
Rashmi Goel, a professor of Criminal Law at the University of Denver, has urged authorities to take immediate action, emphasising that the lack of progress in the case is deeply troubling, added the release.
