Maha: Fadnavis clarifies on fire at ED office in Mumbai

Mumbai, Apr 28 (UNI) A day after incident of fire was reported in Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in city, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Monday that all papers and documents kept in that office are safe.
He clarified that even though fire broke out in ED office, all the documents there are safe.
Fadnavis said, “I spoke to ED officials in Mumbai and they told me that every paper in the office is safe."
"There is also mirror imaging storage of those documents. No paper in the office has been damaged due to this fire," he added.
Meanwhile, the opposition has raised doubts about fire, with NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule questioning about the delay by the fire brigade in reaching the spot despite no traffic and crowd on account of weekend holiday.
The fire was expected to be extinguished in 15 minutes but that did not happen,s she added and demanded for safety audit from the Municipal Corporation.
