Maha: Marathi Film Festival to be held in Mumbai from Apr 21-24

Mumbai, Apr 15 (UNI) The international standard ‘Marathi Film Festival – 2025’ will be organised at P L Deshpande Maharashtra Kala Academy in Mumbai from April 21 to 24 and 41 films will be screened in this festival, announced Cultural Affairs Minister Advocate Ashish Shelar on Tuesday.
The festival is being organised under joint auspices of the Cultural Affairs Department, Maharashtra Film, Theatre and Cultural Development Corporation and P L Deshpande Maharashtra Kala Academy, he informed.
The festival will be inaugurated on April 21 at 6 pm.
After the inauguration ceremony, the film ‘April May 99’, directed by Rohan Mapuskar, will be screened as the opening film at 8 pm, while the film ‘Sant Dnyaneshwaranchi Muktai’, directed by Digpal Lanjekar, will be screened as the closing film on April 24, added Adv Shelar.
