Maha:Three Bangladeshi nationals without valid documents arrested

Mumbai, May 9 (UNI) Three Bangladeshi nationals were arrested by the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of the Nalasopara unit of the Thane police for residing in the Nalasopara area of the Palghar district without valid visas or passports, officials said here on Friday.
The accused have been identified as Abbu Gafar Ali Mandal (29), Kabir Riazuddin Sheikh (60), and Milon Shahanwaz Mandal (37), who were residing in the Gaala Nagar area of Nalasopara East, under the jurisdiction of Achole Police Station in Vasai, Palghar district.
According to the police, acting on a tip-off, officials checked the documents of the trio and discovered that all three were Bangladeshi nationals living in India without valid documents.
After verifying their nationality, police informed senior officials and subsequently registered an FIR under Sections 3 and 4 of the Passport Act, 1920, along with Sections 13 and 14(A)(B) of the Foreigners Act.

Mumbai, May 11 (UNI) The Bombay High Court has granted bail to a female Bangladeshi national, accused of illegally entering India, citing violation of her fundamental rights due to her delayed production before a magistrate, a lawyer said on Sunday
In an order passed on May seven, Justice Milind Jadhav noted that petitioner was not produced within the mandatory 24-hour period after her arrest, which amounts to a breach of her constitutional rights under Articles 21 and 22.
