Manipur Governor inaugurates new infrastructure

Imphal, Mar 22 (UNI) Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla on Saturday inaugurated several new infrastructure and innovation projects at the College of Agriculture, Iroisemba, and the College of Food Technology, Lamphelpat, here.
During the event, the Governor inaugurated a newly constructed girls' hostel and a new Type-IV staff quarter at the College of Agriculture (COA), Iroisemba.
Later, the Governor visited the College of Food Technology, Lamphelpat, and inspected the Biofloc Unit and Food Processing Pilot Plant located on the campus.
As part of the event, the Governor inaugurated a Tulsi-flavoured water manufacturing unit. The governor also distributed food processing equipment to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and encouraged them to utilize the various training programs provided by Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal, to develop skills in food processing and entrepreneurship, enabling them to become self-reliant.
Dr. Anupam Mishra, Vice Chancellor, Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal, along with faculty members, and students, attended the event.
The Governor also inspected various stalls at the exhibition-themed Technology and Machinery Demonstration Mela – 2024-25, AICRP on Post-Harvest Engineering and Technology. He also interacted with students and officials during the visit.
