Meghalaya’s NPP condemns Pahalgam terror attack

Shillong, Apr 26 (UNI) Meghalaya’s ruling National People’s Party (NPP) has strongly condemned the recent terror attack that killed 26 people in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
In a press statement issued on Saturday, NPP National Working President, James Sangma said the resolution was adopted unanimously during the party’s first national committee meeting for the term 2025-2028, held at the NPP’s headquarters in Shillong on Thursday.
The National Committee observed a two-minute silence in solemn remembrance of the departed souls and offered prayers for strength and comfort for the bereaved families
The Party strongly condemned this heinous act of terror against innocent civilians that took place in Pahalgam recently,” Sangma said and appealed and prayed for the return of Peace and normalcy.

ASI to suspends the repair work of Sri Jagannath Temple’s Ratna Bhandars

Puri, Apr 26 (UNI) The ongoing repair and conservation work of both the Ratna Bhandaras(Temple Treasury ) of the Sri Jagannath temple would be suspended from April 27 to June 27 to observe several rituals of the presiding deities of the temple
The temple sources said the 21 day long Chandan Yatra would begin on April 29 and Akshyay Tritiya on April 30 then another twenty-one day Bhitar Chandan yatra would be observed .Sri Jagannath Temple Chief Administrator d Arvind Padhee told the media on Saturday.
