MGR Sports Academy announced as venue for Bengal Pro T20 League

Kolkata, Apr 29 (UNI) The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has announced that the MGR Sports Academy in Dubrajpur, Birbhum will host the women’s matches of the second edition of the Bengal Pro T20 League.
The Final will however be played at the iconic Eden Gardens.
The women’s competition is a key feature of the Bengal Pro T20 League and will see top talent from across the state compete at one of the finest cricketing facilities in Birbhum district. The decision underscores the CAB’s commitment to promoting the game across Bengal and providing world-class opportunities for women cricketers.
Snehasish Ganguly, President of the Cricket Association of Bengal, said, “We are delighted to take the Bengal Pro T20 League women’s matches to Dubrajpur. MGR Sports Academy offers excellent facilities and a passionate local cricket culture. It is important for us to expand the reach of the game across the state and ensure that every young cricketer, especially our talented women players, gets
a platform to perform and inspire.”
Jhulan Goswami, legendary Indian cricketer and mentor for women’s cricket in Bengal, said:
“It is a wonderful initiative by the CAB to take the women’s matches of the Bengal Pro T20 League
to Dubrajpur. Facilities like MGR Sports Academy provide a great environment for young players to experience competitive cricket. Opportunities like these are crucial for the growth of women’s cricket in Bengal, and I am excited to see the talent that will emerge from this platform.”
The second edition of the Bengal Pro T20 League promises to be bigger and better, featuring both men’s and women’s tournaments, with a strong emphasis on unearthing and nurturing the next generation of cricketing stars from Bengal.
