Bhopal, May 14 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jeetu Patwari on Wednesday wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding the dismissal of Minister Vijay Shah and registration of a sedition case against him over his "objectionable and indecent remarks" about Operation Sindoor and a female army officer.
In his letter, Patwari stated that Minister Shah's comments about Colonel Sofia Qureshi are "not only a serious crime but also a direct attack on the dignity of the Indian Army, national unity, and social harmony".
The remarks "reflect Minister Shah's narrow-mindedness, communal bias, and irresponsible attitude, making him unfit to hold a public office, particularly as a minister", the letter states.
Patwari demanded that Minister Shah be immediately removed from the cabinet and face stringent legal action, including sedition charges.
He also called for Minister Shah to publicly apologise to Colonel Qureshi.
If no action is taken, the state Congress will launch a statewide agitation, he warned.
