Mumbai Indians begin final preparations for IPL 2025

Mumbai, Mar 17 (UNI) As the countdown to the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) season begins, the excitement within the Mumbai Indians (MI) camp is palpable. With just six days left for their campaign opener, the five-time champions are in full preparation mode, eager to add another title to their illustrious record.
The MI squad is drawing inspiration from their women’s team, which recently clinched its second Women’s Premier League (WPL) title with a thrilling eight-run victory over Delhi Capitals in the final. The men’s team, keen to emulate their female counterparts, is leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of a sixth IPL trophy.
The Wankhede-based franchise is currently engaged in rigorous training sessions, marked by intense net practice, strategic discussions, and team-building exercises. The atmosphere at the MI camp is electrifying, with batsmen fine-tuning their strokes, bowlers sharpening their skills, and coaching staff working meticulously on tactics. With a well-balanced squad of 23 top-tier players, the team management faces a selection dilemma ahead of their season opener.
MI will kick off their campaign with a marquee clash against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on March 23 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, a contest often referred to as the ‘El Clásico’ of the IPL. Historically, MI hold a narrow 20-17 head-to-head advantage over their arch-rivals, with their triumphs in 2013, 2015, and 2019 standing out as key highlights of this fierce rivalry.
As anticipation builds, MI fans are gearing up for an action-packed season, with pre-match shows, exclusive team content, and behind-the-scenes coverage keeping them engaged. With preparations in full swing, the Mumbai-based franchise is ready to embark on yet another quest for IPL glory.
