Nenmara twin murder case: SIT files chargesheet against alleged accused Chenthamara

Palakkad, Mar 25 (UNI) The Kerala police on Tuesdays submitted the chargesheet in the Nenmara twin killing case, slapping murder charges against the 58-year-old accused Chenthamara, for allegedly hacking to death two members of a neighbour's family in Palakkad district.
The Charge sheet filed on the 58th day of the incident, contains around 480 pages,along with the statements of 132 witnesses including eyewitness Gireesh of Pothundi, 30 documents and scientific evidence including forensic examination results .
The charge sheet said personal enmity against the victim's family residing in Boyan colony at Pothundi near Nenmara, is behind the twin murders that took place on January 27.
Accused Chenthamara, who was at present in judicial custody, suspected that his wife and children left him due to witchcraft by Sudhakaran's family.
Chenthmara killed Sudhakaran's wife Sajitha in 2019 and police arrested him and released him on bail from Viyyur Central jail in December 2024. Later,he killed Sudhakaran (58) and his mother Lakshmi (76) on January 27, around 10 Am, after trespassing into their house at Pothundi near Nemmara.
Chenthamara had issued life threats to Sudhakaran's family earlier, Following a complaint from Sudhakaran police had filed a plea before the court to cancel the bail. UNI AK SSP
