NTPC stresses ‘Safety First’ commitment on its 54th National Safety Day

Patna, Mar 4 (UNI) National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), India’s largest integrated energy company, reaffirmed its dedication to creating a safe and secure working environment on celebration of its 54th National Safety Day.

National Safety Day was celebrated at Eastern Region-I headquarters in Patna.The event underscored company’s ongoing efforts to prioritize safety across all operations.
The highlight of the occasion was the administration of the Safety Pledge by Sudip Nag, Regional Executive Director (East-I), who called upon all employees to embed safety consciousness into their daily work culture.
In his address, Nag emphasized the importance of adopting advanced safety measures and proactive reporting systems to prevent accidents and near-miss incidents.

“NTPC has always taken immense pride in its strong legacy of safety excellence. Through robust IT-enabled reporting mechanisms, we ensure transparency and immediate action on even near-miss incidents. I urge each one of you to take responsibility and work towards an accident-free environment,” he added.
The event witnessed participation of senior officials and associates, including Deepak Ranjan Dehuri, CGM (OS) and Mathew E. Kovoor, GM (OS), whose presence reinforced the company’s collective commitment to safety. Their support highlighted the importance of building a safety-first culture, ensuring the well-being of every individual within the organization.
