IPL 2025 : LSG opt to bowl against GT

Lucknow, Apr 12 (UNI) Lucknow Super Giants won the toss and elected to field first against the Gujarat Titans here on Saturday.
Rishabh Pant, captain of the Lucknow Super Giants, announced that the decision to bowl first was based on the favourable pitch conditions.
He expressed satisfaction with the team’s recent performance, highlighting the contribution of the bowling unit. “The wicket looks good. Happy to win the last two matches. As a team, we talk about the process and the team is responding well now,” said Pant.
A change in the playing XI saw Himmat Singh replacing Mitchell Marsh, who is unavailable due to personal reasons, as his daughter is unwell.
Shubman Gill, captain of Gujarat Titans, admitted that he too would have preferred to bowl first. He emphasized the importance of collective performance within the squad.

Everyone is contributing, that’s been one of the hallmarks for us,” said Gill. The Titans made a single change, with Washington Sundar coming in for Kulwant Khejroliya.
The match promises to be an exciting contest as both teams come with solid lineups and competitive spirit.
