Kolkata, June 27 (UNI) In a hit-and-run case, three persons who were riding a scooter were killed after a goods-laden truck dashed them, hurling all three off the two-wheeler, and sped away, leaving them unconscious on the Kalyani Motorway at Ghola in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district, eyewitnesses and police said today.
The victims, when the local people came rushing to rescue them, were found dead under the impact of a fall on the metal road. One of the dead was a woman, and all remained unidentified, police said.
The hit-and-run case happened at around 6 am as the goods truck on a high speed slammed into them near Khepli canal under Ghola police station and sped away from the scene.
