Banderdewa Police bust inter-state drug trafficking network, arrests 4 peddlers

Itanagar, Feb 14 (UNI) In a significant breakthrough against organized drug networks, Arunachal Pradesh’s Banderdewa Police has arrested four individuals, including a woman, involved in an inter-state drug trafficking in two separate operations.
Police also recovered over 129 grams of suspected heroin from the possession of the alleged peddlers, dealing a major blow to the illegal drug trade, a senior officer said on Friday.
Naharlagun SP Mihin Gambo said that based on credible intelligence regarding the transportation of a large quantity of narcotic drugs suspected to be heroin, the Banderdewa Police team on Thursday set up a trap and apprehended an inter-state drug peddler, identified as Tahir Ali (29), a resident of No. 2 Sonapur village under Bihpuria PS in Assam’s Lakhimpur district, at Karsingsa.
