Bedlam in Bihar assembly on law and order and other issues

Patna, Mar 17 (UNI) The Bihar Assembly witnessed a pandemonium on Monday after the Opposition members raised the issue of murders during Holi festival, and other issues including crime, law and order and construction of boundary wall around cemeteries.

Soon after the Speaker Nand Kishor Yadav took up the question hour proceedings during pre lunch sitting on Monday, the entire opposition raised the murder incidents that took place during Holi festival and other issues related to law and order and crime and created a ruckus in the house.

Amid question hour proceedings, the opposition members , waving posters and placards trooped to the well and created ruckus.

Complying with the order of the Speaker, the Marshals snatched the posters and placards from the slogan shouting opposition members.

The Speaker requested the members to raise their issues at an appropriate time however they continue to shout slogans against the government for a few minutes and later walked out of the house.

During a question of Virendra Prasad Gupta regarding construction of boundary wall around Lakshmipur cemetery which Gupta described as a highly sensitive graveyard, the entire opposition was on their toes as several other members too had raised the issues related to construction of boundary walls around cemeteries. The opposition members, speaking at the top of their voice again trooped to the well.

The bedlam continued for a few minutes in the Well after which the opposition members walked out of the lower house.
