Ex CPM MP Bansa Gopal expelled from party for offensive behaviour towards woman colleague

Kolkata, Apr 27 (UNI) The West Bengal CPIM has expelled three-time Lok Sabha member, Bansa Gopal Chowdhury, from the party on charges of “highly objectionable” behaviour towards a woman colleague.
The decision came after a woman leader of the party and also a former councillor from Jiaganj-Azimganj Municipality lodged a complaint against the former MP alleging that he had been sending obscene messages to her on WhatsApp.
The CPIM leadership announced Chowdhury’s expulsion through a notification on Sunday morning.
