Four nabbed, arms recovered in Manipur

Imphal, April 18 (UNI) Manipur Police and security forces arrested four persons in two separate incidents and seized a large numbers of arms and ammunition in operations launched in four districts in the last 24 hours.
Police said on Friday that two active cadres of Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) were nabbed from Wangjing Khabakhong along NH-102 under Thoubal-PS, Thoubal District. Two hand grenades were recovered from him.
Manipur Police arrested two persons in connection with a viral video in which unknown miscreants brandished sophisticated firearms at an unidentified location under Churachandpur PS, Churachandpur district .
In an operation at the Wabagai Buffalo Farm area under Kakching-PS, Kakching district, by police and security personnel, one .303 rifle with a magazine, one bolt action single barrel gun with sling, a 9 mm pistol with a maazine, and large number of ammunitions were recovered.
In another operation at Lairenkabi and Sanjenbam villages under Lamshang-PS, Imphal West district one, one AK rifle along with one magazine, one SLR along with one magazine, one 9mm carbine machine gun along with one magazine, one modified single barrel gun, one pistol with one magazine, two hand grenades without detonators were recovered.
