Two Bangladeshis with two Indian touts arrested in Tripura

Agartala, Apr 24 (UNI) In a concerted move to counter cross-border infiltration, Tripura Police and BSF arrested two Bangladeshi nationals and two Indian touts on Thursday from the Inter-State Bus Terminus in the bordering town Dharmanagar under North Tripura.
Acting on specific intelligence, jawans of the BSF’s 199 Battalion intercepted the Bangladeshi duo—identified as Noor and Alamin—at the ISBT.
During interrogation, they divulged key details that led security forces to two Indian nationals believed to be aiding illegal border crossings.
"Based on inputs from the detained foreigners, we arrested two Indian touts—Swapan Kar and Bidhan Deb—suspected to be part of a larger network facilitating cross-border movement," a Tripura Police officer confirmed.
Security agencies have since intensified raids on suspected touts’ hideouts across bordering areas of Tripura.
